Festivals

We have put together some tips to help you through any festival:

Get public transport or hire a minibus. It’s just not worth driving to festivals as there will be too much traffic on the roads. There will also be the chance of getting breathalysed by the police. It takes an awful long time for alcohol to leave your system so don’t assume you’re fine the next day.

Things to bring:

Tent, sleeping bag, torch, lots of spare socks and underwear, condoms, rain gear, wellies, sunglasses, suncream, a hat, water, something warm to wear in the evening, black bin liners, tape and dry shampoo for the ladies.

Don’t spend too much on a tent; it will more than likely get damaged. Be sure to pitch it straightaway, you don’t want to do it in the dark or when you are drunk, or both. Put something distinctive on your tent, a really bright flag or tee shirt, to help you identify it later on. Don’t pitch it near the toilets.

Don’t bring your smart phone. Dig out an old phone or even buy a cheap one. Try not to bring any valuables.

Stay with your friends. This especially goes for girls. There will be so many people around who are drunk and on drugs, don’t take the chance.

Make sure to eat and try not over do it, it could be a long weekend.

DO NOT leave your drink unattended or accept a drink from a stranger. Don’t think it could never happen to you.
